Professional doctorates are equivalent to a PhD but have a focus on a specific professional context. Once you have completed your professional doctorate you will have the title of doctor. That means you’ll complete your doctorate – conducting research relating to your current organisation and gaining the highest level of skills and knowledge – while continuing your career. Professional Doctorates involve both text-based study and action research. There is a compulsory 100 hours of work placement to qualify for the license Status.
