Vision

El-Roi London University’s vision is to produce graduates that are agents of change based on the emancipatory concept of higher education, critical pedagogy, and values of transpersonal education philosophy.

Emancipatory knowing involves critically examining social, political, and institutional structures to uncover social injustices and inequities and disrupt the status quo, as well as asking critical questions. Critical pedagogy is a philosophy of education and social movement that developed and applied concepts from critical theory and related traditions to education and the study of culture. It insists that issues of social justice and democracy are not distinct from acts of teaching and learning.

Our Core values

Our Core values are based on the principles of Transpersonal higher education Philosophy. In transpersonal learning, one discovers nature’s intrapsychic dimensions and the close relationship between self and world. The concerns of transpersonal education are spiritual, but they are not religious in a sectarian manner. Instead, the goal is to guide the individual in exploring the many realms of experience that transcend the ego. All our students will take mandatory and compulsory modules in transpersonal education philosophy regardless of their studies.

The transpersonal approach emphasizes body awareness and sensitivity, the need for Teachers to transcend their own ego needs, the appropriateness of myth and symbol as conveyors of intuitive knowledge, a serious approach to the arts, and an attitude toward sciences and object-study which values wonder of spiritual self -identity and increased creativity. Extending or going beyond the personal or individual. Transpersonal educators were concerned primarily with esoteric mental experience (such as mysticism and altered states of consciousness) beyond the usual limits of ego and personality.
